Details about First Front Door

First Front Door (FFD) provides down payment and closing cost assistance to eligible first-time homebuyers. Offered through participating FHLBank Pittsburgh (FHLBank) members that provide first-mortgage financing. By contributing a minimum of $1,500 toward down payment and closing costs, homebuyers are eligible for a maximum FFD grant of $15,000. 

What to bring

Proof of all household income including but not limited to:

  • Names and birthdays for all members who will be living in the home.
  • Most recent 3 consecutive paystubs, if applicable, for all W2 household members.
  • Award letters (including Social Security, Pension, etc) if applicable for all household members.
  • Proof of court ordered child support, alimony, etc, if applicable.
  • Most recent 2 years of 1099s for unemployment, Social Security, Pension, Independent Contractor position.
  • Most recent 2 years of W2s and Federal tax returns including all schedules.
  • Household members who do not earn income will need to sign a zero income certification.

Closing Cost Credit Information: To qualify for an $500 Lender Credit a complete loan application must be received through First Commonwealth Mortgage. The loan application must be received by 12/31/2025 and be secured by a 1st lien to be valid for this offer. Offer is not valid for applications received through the First at Home, or Franklin First. The credit will be applied to the Lender Credits section of the loan Closing Disclosure. Cannot be combined with any other offer. Offer subject to change without notice.
